[Deeper and Higher Level Questioning]
One of the best things you can do for your child's growth is to read with them and prompt them to think on deeper and higher levels. (Once they're independent readers, you can still read the same books as they do so you can discuss and question.) Here are some links to good questions you can ask that can apply to many different situations and types of books, though you may have to adjust the wording depending on the grade level:
